A tale to caress your papillae and make one's mouth water!

"Whispering dust reflects the time of present and long gone by"

A narrow hallway constitutes the central entrance of the place where one still can admire the old well in which an underground stream runs out. There is a stone spiral stairway leading to the apartments on the upper stories with details dating back to the 14th century. The entrance hallway leads to the entrance of the restaurant, where a peek in our open kitchen is more than worth it. The restaurant is arranged in a modern way but the rural style reflects a living room feeling, here we offer seats for 20 guests.  Another staircase leads to a loft with a second room with open fireplace and authentically decorated and furnished to take you back to times long gone by. This space offers seating for groups of maximum 25 guests.  For groups we can talk about a menu and arrange a composition that satisfies all wishes. Behind all this, we have an enclosed summer garden "le Jardin Historique", a cosy outdoor terrace where average 25 guests can enjoy cool air under the shade of a gazebo or a mulberry tree.

The ladies offer you personal hospitality, a natural family teamwork, and a swirling footwork where everyone seems to dance in their own routing. The appreciated judgements written in our guest book we read each evening after closing give us a heart-warming, fulfilled feeling and a new inspiration.

Unfortunately we must very regular disappoint with "restaurant full".  For this reason we recommend making a reservation ahead of time to avoid those disappointments.

The chefs modify our chart each season.  Our meats or fish come with a sauce intended to caress your papillae or by a vinaigrette with vegetables of the season.  Our desserts are "house made ".  One pourlèche...
The combination of  ingredients and spices allows us to serve an explosion of creativity and pleasure in our work.  In short, we strive for our kitchen to be honest and deliciously pleasing.

All those who came to this area inevitably do think of the old expression, "To live like a God in France" But also that "If God truly did choose France, then it must have been the Dordogne! "
